Final
This sequence represents a women reaching out for a better life. After living in shambles outside, she is emotionally scarred and will always remember her childhood in the woods. However, as she grows up, she begins to reach out for a better life. While she moves forward, she looks back and members the struggles she went through. Now she finally has a home, and although it isn't the nicest home, it's an improvement from the woods.
These images were unified by at the beginning, her old, crappy couch is shown. At the end, a new chair is there, and although it isn't modern and that new, it's an improvement form the crappy couch she previously owned. The repetition of the flags also symbolizes how in the beginning, she had many flags. Now as she moves into a home, the flag is still near her, showing how her past is a part of her. Also, color plays another important role. While living outside, she was surrounded by the green of nature -- trees, grass, and ferns. When she finally got a true home, the room is painted green to yet again show how her past is a part of her and will always follow her.
